yeah, i get that. i don't know a whole lot about it bc i'm here for good but i don't think they do it, like, 'hey we configured the portal to your world, get here in the next five minutes or you're totally boned' if you got a pet you'd have time to find them a home, or get them to the shelter in the meantime
