[ Hana had booked the entire arcade out on her day off. Usually she doesn't mind going incognito and playing with some randos who don't realize they're going up against a pro when they take on a "chick at the arcade" but-- not today. Today she wants the place to herself because it's been a rough week and she's finally got a breather so--
where in the heck did that loud sound come from. It's not something she thinks she's ever really heard before except in a video game or something. Slowly, she peers around the 16-bit Hero machine she'd been playing in front of sees, in clothes that look like they've come right out of a video game, too: a random guy. How did he even get in here? And what's with the get up? Is he a cosplayer? She looks on, confused for a moment before she calls out, ]
[ He startles a bit, and looks somewhere between flustered and annoyed when he whirls to look at her. He's usually more aware of people around him - they're all potential threats, now - but the whole situation's got him a bit frazzled.
Doesn't everyone just know his name? What the heck. ]
Ezreal. Who are you?
[ Given that he knows he's in some weird place, it would make way more sense to ask where he is, or to not sound so accusatory, but. Well. ]
[ His name isn't weird! He scowls. And... She didn't tell him her name. Suspicious!! But it's also pretty obvious from the screens in here that this isn't somewhere serious. These for entertainment. (And hey, claw machines. They have those back home!)
He doesn't appear to feel at all guilty for trespassing, and just shrugs. ]
[ If this guy isn't already freaking out about being alone with D.Va, then it's likely he's of the like, 5% of the world's population that lives under a rock, so she takes his response easily and doesn't question its honesty, just-- that it was phrased weirdly. ]
[ They're both in the same boat of 'why doesn't this person just recognize me.' ]
My magic must have misfired, or something.
[ he gives a sparing glance to the gauntlet on his left hand - or, more specifically, the gem that's attached to it. Then crosses his arms over his chest in annoyance. ]
Ezreal arches an eyebrow at her. wtf is LARPing...
It's not like summoning magic never goes haywire, so this is an annoyance, but not totally out of nowhere for him. (The gauntlet fucking up is the whole reason he's even in the League of Legends, but that had been teleporting from one city to another. Then there's the cases of people whisked away from their worlds to his by mistake, but the worlds they come from also have magic. He's never imagined a world without it, so it doesn't occur to him that it might sound strange, even if he knows this is feasibly another world. ]
Because that's how I got here. You know. Summoning spells? Teleportation?
[ Sure, not everyone has magic, but surely she has to know what it is, right? And most tech is half-magic, so how would all these machines be working without magic??? ]
It's not the first time this stupid thing's acted up. [ this time he actually holds up his arm to show the gauntlet on it. turns out weird magic artifacts that you find in caves to amplify your magic don't always... do what you want...?! ]
The closest thing Hana knows to it are Genji and Hanzo's... spirit dragons? Whatever they are?
There's a part of her that's still confused about this entire thing, but she stares at the man in front of her very intently, and especially so when he reveals his gauntlet. That's definitely not just fancy cosplay and-- Hana tends to be quite good at reading people, and she's not sensing that he's lying or trying to fool her. Which means... ]
Oh, crap. You're being serious. You really got here by magic? From--
[ Valoran. He'd just mentioned it. ] Right. That place. Wow! Um, welcome I guess?
[ He's kind of surprised she believed him that easily, even though to him it's all obviously the truth. But - score, that makes this easier. ]
Yeah, I don't plan to stay long. [ That's so rude after she said welcome, but okay!! ] Not sure how to get back on my terms, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I'm forcefully summoned home.
In the mean time - tell me about this place. [ He's an adventurer at heart. It's best to learn whatever he can while he has the chance. ] Some kinda... Visiopathic crystal room?

Weird name.
[ It even sounds like a video game kind of name. ]
You're not supposed to be in here, you know. This is a private event.
[ With one person in it. ]

So? Where am I? Doesn't seem like Valoran.
im sorry
But-- okay, now he really sounds like a loon. Magic? Valoran? Is... he LARPing...? ]
Wait, are you LARPing right now?
lmao it's ok

LARPing? What's that? Sounds stupid.
87 years later
[ Wait, no, she is not about to explain LARPing to some random guy in cosplay. ]
You know what, nevermind. Where's Valoran? And why did you mention magic?
i luv slow threads. no stress!!
