["Morbid" was an understatement when he told Keith just to "lighten the mood" that his "wound's great; it's getting bigger all the time" when he was very near dying]

What kind of tea and soup do you like?

[And it would take a few minutes, but not longer later there would be a knock at her door]

[ Oh, jeez.

In spite of everything, Hana was hoping Shiro wouldn't come after all. She was too sick to be any good company, not to mention super uncute, but in the end she knew he was the kind of person who would try and help a sick friend out...

When she answered the door, Pacchan burst through first, having picked up Shiro's familiar scent from the other side of the door, and she hopped up and pawed at him, wanting pets. Hana was at the door in a baggy sweatshirt, pajama pants, and a mask over her face, and not to mention her hair was just a mess. Super uncute. ]

Hi...

[ Her voice was muffled behind the mask. Maybe he'd just drop the things off then go... ]

[Honestly, Shiro wasn't expecting someone who was sick to look cute and certainly didn't think she'd feel up to trying. But if she needed some things, he was going to make sure that she got them.

When the door opened, Pacchan came dashing out first and Shiro crouched to pet the excited dog]

Have you been taking care of Hana?

[He asked the dog before looking back up at her and standing]

Hi. Here's the tea and the soup. Do you need me to make anything for you? Just so you can put your feet back up and rest.

[ Pacchan was smiling in her own little doggy way and licked Shiro's hand as he pet her. Maybe that was her way of saying yes, she was taking care of Hana, if what that meant was snuggling up on the human's blanket at her feet to keep them warm or giving her doggy kisses whenever she started coughing or looked sad. ]

Ah, thanks.

[ She really felt bad, asking him to do anything for her. This was already more than enough when she probably could have requested it of, like, a delivery drone or something. But here he was, willing to help, and a small part of her felt relieved. But still... ]

... you're not going to let me say no to your help, are you?

[Pacchan was a good dog, taking care of her master and being a hot water bottle to snuggle with. There was nothing better than having a warm dog to snuggle with when you were sick]

You can try. But chances are you're not going to get away without me wanting to make you a pot of tea and bowl of soup.

[Not offering to stay all day, but he wanted to give her something]

[ Hana just looked at Shiro as he was petting Pacchan, sighed, then stepped to the side to admit him into the apartment. There really was no use when someone like Shiro was even gently insisting on something. Maybe he was just that persuasive.

Pacchan was happy about that, at least, trotting over to Hana then back at Shiro, back and forth, because now she had two humans around who could give her pets! And the bigger one is her friend Youta's human! ]

Alright, come on in, Takashi.

[Shiro smiled at Pacchan, waiting patiently for Hana to make her decision. Not that he had given her much option, but he at least wanted to make sure she had something to get start, soup and tea.

When she finally moved, he followed her in]

Just want to make you something so you can start feeling better. Why don't you sit down and I'll get started on the tea for you?

[ She made sure to close and lock the door once he was in, and at his offer she shrugged. No use resisting anything now, right? ]

Okay. The kettle should be pretty easy to find, Genji made some tea before he headed out.

[ That she'd already drank all of, of course. ]

[ With a slight bow of appreciation she turned and made her way to the couch, where she would kind of just flop down. Pacchan, meanwhile, would follow Shiro. ]

[No, no use resisting now, but he had only insisted on making her some tea and soup. After that, she could chase him out if she wanted to]

No problem. You need to rest. I know sometimes when you are sick, you just don't have the strength to even make food.

[Shiro headed to the kitchen as she flopped down on the couch, a fuzzy shadow following after him. He was okay with this and after filling the kettle with more water and putting it on the stove, he crouched down to give her another scratch before looking for a pot to heat up the soup]

Do you want anything while everything is heating up?

[ The response he got was muffled by virtue of the way Hana's face was pressed up against one of the throw pillows on the couch after she flopped down on it. ]

No, I'm good...!

[ She would turn after that, though, to lay on her side and kick her feet to loosen up the blanket she'd left on there. Once it was untangled enough she did her best to lean over so she could pull it up to cover herself. Even dressed as she was, she still felt cold.

Whenever Shiro would finish up in the kitchen and come back with Pacchan, he might find Hana having slipped momentarily into slumber. It wasn't a deep sleep, but her eyes felt tired so she'd closed them. ]

[Shiro just nodded and kept working in the kitchen. Luckily it didn't take too long for water and soup to heat up. He made up a pot of tea for her and dished up a large bowl of soup. He walked out first with a cup of tea, his fuzzy shadow Pacchan following him out. He noticed that Hana's eyes were closed so he went to get the soup before waking her.

He set the soup down on the table nearby next to the tea, reaching down to pet Pacchan]

Hana. The soup's ready.

[ Her eyes slowly fluttered open at the sound of his voice— ]

Takashi...?

[ and it wasn't until then that she even realized she'd fallen asleep. Eyes widening, she jolted and leaned up a little, propping herself on an elbow - and then promptly falling back down onto her back on the pillow because that was far too fast a movement for her sick body to cope with. ]

Oof. Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep on you. That's kind of rude for a host, isn't it? Ugh.

[He blinked in surprise as she suddenly popped up when she woke up, startled, but not enough to try and help her lower back to the couch without simply collapsing backwards]

No, it's fine. You're sick. I'm not expecting someone who is sick to care about much other than getting better. Slowly, so you can eat.

[ Still, she shot him an apologetic look, again feeling guilty that he was even doing this much for her. But slowly she did try and lean up again so that she could have soup and tea. Without really thinking, she reached out with a hand and held onto Shiro's shoulder, using it as a way to pull herself up. ]

I'd say the soup smells good, but I can't really smell anything right now. It looks good, though?

[Shiro was not really concerned with the fact that he needed to help her. It was what happened when someone was sick and she definitely needed something. She clearly wasn't doing very well at the moment. He patiently let her grab onto his shoulder for leverage. His shoulders were good for that]

Yeah, I figured. It's nothing special. Just some chicken with noodles.

[It was store bought. He figured it might be better to get her something sooner than later, even store bought. If she didn't ask him to stay, she'd probably have a delivery of soup later.

He picked up the bowl, holding it for her until she was ready to take it]

[ She appreciated how much he'd already done; she didn't get sick often in the past, but when she did, it was usually her mom or dad taking care of her. Fortunately they lived close enough that she could leave and go home from the team house if she ever caught something to make sure her teammates didn't get sick, too. She wouldn't admit it, but this was the first time she had to really take care of herself while sick, so she was especially thankful to have a friend like Shiro and many of her other friends around who were so ready to help her.

With a grateful bow of her head, she took the bowl of soup from him and began blowing on the surface of it to help it cool a bit more. Then she took just a small sip of it and swallowed, sighing when the liquid warmed and soothed her throat. She couldn't taste much but salt, but that was enough. ]

Mmmm. That hits the spot.

[Once she took the bowl, Shiro sat down on the floor, crossing his legs. If Pacchan were to come over, he would pet the dog and give her some love. He was more than happy to be the person who came over to take care of her when she was sick]

Good. Glad that its helping. Is there anything else I can get you at the moment?

[He's not planning on leaving just yet unless she asks him to. He wants to make sure she's eaten and gotten her drink so she can rest]

[ Pacchan did indeed come over, first pawing at Shiro's legs before she went and curled up in the space between them for optimal petting.

Hana, meanwhile, was just slowly working on her soup, trying to be careful so as not to burn her tongue on it. She looked thoughtful at Shiro's question. ]

Wanna turn the TV on? Maybe there's something good on.

[Shiro smiled at the dog as she curled up against his legs in order to be close to him so he had to put her. Which he did, reaching down to pet her. Youta would probably be trying to figure out who he spent time with when he got home today.

He didn't say anything while Hana worked on her soup for a bit then she spoke]

Sure, if you want to do that.

[He glanced around for the remote since he was a little trapped by a dog at the moment]
