[ the next half a minute or so, the screen shows Hana as typing. It takes her a while to figure out her next message to answer Jason's question. ]

but i think i'm gonna... idk say yes? how does that work? but i really like him too and i don't want to let him down or lose this chance. one of my friends just got sent back and i don't want to assume that he'll always just be here.

[ That time she's typing he just stared taking a deep breath, feeling thirsty suddenly like his throat was dry. He didn't realize how important it would be until he saw the typing taking awhile.

When the message came through he read it once, read it twice then sat the phone against the tank and pulled his cigarettes out, nicotine more important suddenly. Lighting up he cursed under his breath before taking a few breaths. What could he say? What could he do? Admitting he had feelings for her would be cliche at the moment, and god knew he was a mess. She deserved better and Shiro was better, would be best... even if he hated himself a little more he lifted the phone again, the cigarette still between his lips as he started to type.]

Okay first off, don't be concerned with letting anyone down by not returning feelings. That's not healthy and you deserve better, but having seen you around the guy, because yes I was watching while the boys tried to steal his lion. I would say, if your asking for a friends advice. If you like him to, go for it. He seems like a good guy, so go get something good Hana. But, do it because you want to, not any of that other shit.

[ After he hit enter he sat the phone back on the tank, leaning on the handlebars more as he nursed the cigarette.]

[ it was just... taking her some time to figure out if she was ready to commit. For how confident D.Va usually was in herself and her abilities... Hana was still a nineteen-year-old girl who'd never been in a serious relationship before. No one had ever cared about the girl behind the celebrity before - hell, she'd had a boyfriend in her days as a pro who never called her anything but D.Va. Yet there Shiro was - he didn't even know D.Va the way people at home knew about her, but he'd like her anyway. And for the last month she'd struggled with the question of why.

Unfortunately, through text, Hana had even less of a clue as to how Jason felt. She remembered the first time they had lunch together at what was now their favorite burger spot - and how she'd joked about him running away whenever he heard the word 'relationship.' That stuck with her. ]

I just don't want to mess up. he's a really good person and every other time i've dated before it's been no good. i don't want it to happen with him and i don't want to hurt him but i want to try.

[ He used that armour to protect himself, and that was half the reason he ran from any chance at something nice. The reason he left Loki sitting on that couch alone, the reason he sent the message he knew was best to Hana. He wanted other's to be happy, anyone around him in any serious way had a target on their back. He wouldn't do that to someone else. Not after Isabel. ]

Stop looking down on yourself, Hana! If you were here I'd be smacking you in the back of the head. It's going to be fine, you're going to do well. So, go get you guy when you get home. Life's short, make it worth living. Anyway, I gotta go, Gotta get the boys to school and certain people doesn't like me texting while I drive.

If he's good, and you want it, it's going to be good, your gonna be fine.

[ Hana knew that it was difficult for Jay to be sincere like this - even through text - so she read his words carefully and felt more and more sure about what she needed to do once she completed this mission. Though Jason wouldn't see it, Hana was smiling to herself, something small and sincere and appreciative. ]

[ The display on his helmet projected the message as he tried not to look sad as he drove fast down the streets heading home.

Speaking into his helmet the message came just after. ]
