[ Hana has been fortunate enough not to come down with the odd, nanite-inflicted virus that it seems almost everyone else has contracted. She's wondered if, perhaps, spending the better part of the last few weeks outside of the inner city of the Quarantine out on missions helped; in any case, she's returned, to both a horribly ill roommate in Genji and now a horribly ill boyfriend.
She's quiet for a moment after Keith says his part, which is uncharacteristic for the usually loud and quick-on-her-feet Hana Song. At length, she responds with a gravity in her tone that lacks any of the usual pep or cheeriness her voice usually has. ]
Genji has it too, but his boyfriend is here, so I'm definitely coming to see Takashi. I'll be there right away. How bad is it?
[Keith might not have appreciated the cheeriness, honestly. He appreciates that she seems to understand how concerning this is.]
He's pretty weak right now. It's like a really bad flu. The docs said it's really only a matter of time before he ends up in that coma everyone's been falling into.
[Keith was managing to stay pretty steady and calm about this, but his voice was giving off a very worried tone.]
[ She could hear that tone, certainly, and before she responds, there's a long exhale from her end that sounds like a shaky sigh. As they spoke on the phone, she was already grabbing her things and heading down to where her mech is on standby. She just needs to get there, ASAP. ]
I'll be there as soon as I can. Just hang in there, Keith.

[ She sighed. ]
I think you probably know more about what's going on than I do - I just got back from a mission. What's happening? How did people get sick?

[ Well, that changes things a bit. ]
I'm guessing they haven't been caught yet.
