[ Sure enough, whenever it is that Lance arrives at the promised land of McDonald's, D.Va will be there waiting, whether it's in the couple of minutes he'd said or even later than that (though too much later and he'd find her outside with her sixteen Happy Meals). She's still dressed in the clothes she wore out to the club that Lúcio played at tonight and by now her lack of sobriety has dulled into a steady buzz, but her hankering for awful fast food hasn't dulled. She's leaning against the wall outside looking busy on her phone with her headphones on and music playing, generally ignoring the people who seem to stop and recognize her. If she were sober she'd humor them with selfies, but for now all they get is a wave and a smile. ]

[Lance is pretty glad for the sake of convenience. To make it easier on himself, he parks Blue at the closest dark edge, barrier for safety, just to keep her hidden and out of the way. And, assured she'd be fine, runs off to this McDonald's, in which he spots.... the bae.

Because she cute, even surrounded by all of those boxes, and he has to wonder how in the hell she's going to pack away that many. He makes his way over to her first, sliding into the chair across from her, and just grins.]

You weren't kidding when you said you wanted a hundred nuggets! You gonna eat all of these?

[ Okay, so maybe there aren't really sixteen Happy Meals across the table, but there's still more than one person should be able to buy if that person was not Hana "D.Va" Song. She looks up from her feasting when she sees someone join her across the table; the look is curious before she realizes it's Lance, which is when her face lights up, and when she flashes him a peace sign, totally unapologetic for her Happy Meals. ]

There's only four nuggets in a box, dude! [ that's still like over forty nuggets Hana ] I'm not gonna eat all of them. You're helping me!

[ Grinning, herself, she slooowly slides a Happy Meal across to Lance. ]

[Lance has to laugh at that, but he takes the one offered with a sly grin and pops it open. If he said he didn't bring his appetite, he'd be lying. And it's been a while since he's properly eaten some real good cheap food, he wants to enjoy this to its fullest.]

Point. Hey, I just wanted to check! I've learned to stop underestimating appetites.

[Because it's always a surprise when he watches Pidge go for seconds or thirds after he's long since tapped out of a meal, and she's minuscule. Reaches in, he pulls out a chunk of fries and shoves them in his mouth in one go. And then he looks like he ascended.]

H'ur'na, ish... s'goooood.

[ And Hana in turn has to laugh at that, the sight of Lance looking utterly blissful with fries sticking out of his mouth. ]

You look hilarious. Hang on--

[ Is that Hana's phone going up so she can snap a picture of Lance looking so graceful? Why yes. Yes it is. ]

Uh?!

[But he barely has time to maintain any composure--as in, zero at all, Hana works too fast, so the most he can do is stick out a peace sign at the picture, before he continues chewing.]

Wow... that's not even blackmail material. You're putting that online, aren't you? [But he doesn't mind too much.] But when has McDonald's been so amazing?! I haven't had this in forever!

[ The grin on Hana's lips is nothing short of triumphant when she snaps the picture. She chooses to ignore his question altogether as it is totally going online sometime soon. Instead, she grabs her soda and takes a sip, watching him continue to chow down on the nuggets.

Then, she decides to pose the most important question anyone has ever posed about the known universe: ]

... Are there fast food restaurants in space?

[Oh he knows that look. That's the totally going online look, and it'd be nothing short of a miracle if it only gets a light filter instead of a blingee snoop gif over it. He's in a miniature heaven though, on a not!date with a great friend and the most godly cheap chicken he's ever eaten.

The question does catch him by surprise, but he nods.] There's a freakin' Denny's out there! Wouldn't be surprised if there's an Arby's too. There's this one chain of like... blue fajitos that taste almost right but are also just slightly off, but I've seen that on a good four planets we've been to. It's pretty wild.

[ She's furrowing her brow at him immediately even as she's shoveling fries into her mouth. And talking with her mouth full because she is a Lady(tm). ]

No way! There's no way those are out there. How would they even know about Denny's and Arby's? Unless-- [ she gasps. once her mouth is not full of fries lest she choke-- ] the aliens have been watching us all along?

[The ladiest, but even Lance doesn't bat an eye as he attempts to chew his way through two nuggets in one go. They're civilized, promise. But he freezes at her question, eyes wide.

They're being watched?!]

...Y'know... That would make a lot of sense. All those weird things happening at random, aliens.

[ She waves a fry between her fingers at him, gesturing a little wildly because, hey, she's still pretty buzzed. ]

Yeah, like crop circles! Totally aliens.

Okay, okay. I need to know this one next. What's your favorite space food?

Totally aliens! Dang, there are so many signs!

[He has to grin though, reaching over to steal one of her fries. Hana is a precious dork.]

Favorite space food? You mean I can't pick tasteless goo? For real, though, probably... one planet we went to had these weird melted green soup, tasted like fudge though. They didn't last long, which sucked, but it was good while we were there. What about you?

[ Excuse you, she is an awesome precious dork. ]

I haven't really had space food. [ By virtue of not having been out to space. Yet. ] Is there anything out there that's like ice cream?

[The awesome comes with the name. Hana is superb.] You mean no one's given you some weird alien delicacy? [But he can't exactly say she's missing a lot. Earth has some pretty damn good food.]

Ice cream... Well, there was one place that had these weird things, tasted almost like custard fro-yo? But uh... even saltier. I haven't found anything as cool as ice cream yet.
